Kids! (Birthday Parties, School Groups, Camp Groups)

We love kids, and kids love Beat The Bomb (with hazmat suits + paint + lasers + smoke machines, you can understand why!) To date we’ve hosted hundreds of school groups, camp groups and kids’ parties! Due to Covid 19 restrictions there is a limit of 1 adult per 12 kids group allowed in the facility for supervision purposes or to act as their guardian in case of any issues...

We have several Kids Birthdays packages available and can include private party space, a Beat The Bomb cake, gift bags and more! The Birthday child always plays for free!

We offer our lowest rates to School Groups & Camps. The bigger the group, the more you save! Beat The Bomb is a great, active field trip that forces kids to communicate and work together. Ask about customizing your trip with a STEM workshop.

You can email groupsales@beatthebomb.com to make reservations for a kids group.

Are There Any Age Restrictions?

The minimum age to participate in Beat The Bomb is 8 years old. Participants 8-9 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the experience (including the game itself). Participants aged 10-15 must have an adult on the Beat The Bomb premises.

Participants 16+ can participate without a guardian on-site. All participants under 18 must have a waiver signed by an adult guardian in advance of participation. Waivers can be signed online or onsite.

Will I Have To Sign A Waiver?

Yes. Liability Waivers are required for all participants. Online waiver are temporarily unavailable but will be back soon.

Due to COVID-19 Contact Tracing requirements for businesses in NY State, liability waivers will need to be signed by all customers regardless of whether you are playing.

Can I bring my Bags?

We will provide standard gym lockers (and locks) upon your arrival for backpacks, purses, small shoulder bags, and coats. For larger items that need to be stored please ask our Front Desk Team for storage options. While we will do our best to help store larger items for you, Beat The Bomb is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.

Due to COVID-19, Beat The Bomb has temporarily suspended the storage of large personal items for customers. Beat The Bomb will continue to provide lockers for customers as described above.

How Long Does The Experience Last?

Just over 60 minutes. There will be a 5 minute introduction, 55 minutes of game play, and a 5 minute exit process. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your entrance time.

Due to COVID-19 capacity constraints specific to NY State guidelines, Beat The Bomb reserves the right to ask customers who arrive more than 30 minutes early to wait outside the premises if the business has reached its reduced capacity limit.

Please don’t be late! If your Team arrives more than 5 minutes late for your entry time, we reserve the right to cancel your booking entirely, or reschedule you later that day or another day! Unfortunately we cannot allow late arrivals to postpone the scheduling of other participants or cause other participants to have a delayed experience.

Will My Clothing Get Ruined During BEAT THE BOMB?

No. BEAT THE BOMB provides all participants with a protective outer layer as well as head and face protection. The suit goes over your feet, like a onesie, so that your shoes are protected.

That said, please leave your “best dressed” clothes at home, just to be on the safe side. The paint reacts differently to different fabrics and we cannot guarantee that it will come out of every type of fabric. If paint is found on any clothing following the experience, we recommend washing promptly.

Also please be sure to wear clothing and shoes that you can move around comfortably in at all times.

Can I Take Pictures Or Video During The Experience? (Yes!)

Everyone loves a good selfie! Yes you can bring your phones in with you, and take all the photos and videos that you want! In fact, we provide you with fanny packs for THAT VERY PURPOSE.

Unlike regular escape rooms, none of our challenges are ‘spoiled’ by any other people seeing them. You just may not want to have your iPhone out in front of you in the bomb room… SPLAT!

Additionally - all customers will get photos and videos from the Bomb Room after their experience! Remember to post on social media tagging @BeatTheBomb using #GetBlasted.

Did you say FANNY PACKS!?

Yes, we provide you with Fanny Packs to allow you to keep your phones with you through the experience.

Does the BOMB hurt?

Nope. It feels like a wave of paint, or giant paint-filled water balloons hitting you, but it does not hurt. It is NOT paintball. We repeat NO paintballs or paintball guns are used in the mechanics of the paint bomb!

Is This Experience Safe?

Yes, BEAT THE BOMB is extremely safe. Every room is monitored by video surveillance at all times. None of the doors are locked. You can leave at any time if you are feeling uncomfortable by following our red illuminated Exit signs above the doorways on our egress routes.

Please see our specific warnings below on “Do I Have to Be In Decent Shape…” “Photosensitive seizure warning” and “Pregnancy warning.”

Do I Have To Be In Decent Shape To Go Through Beat The Bomb? (Yes, a bit!)

Beat The Bomb is not meant to be a test of physical fitness, strength, or endurance. However, you will be encouraged to move quickly, crawl, and bend yourself through the laser room games (it can get sweaty!) You will also have to move your position around our 10’x14’ motion tracking room for 10 mins. Game rooms, except for the bomb room, are 10 minutes each.

Please contact us to discuss any physical requirements as well as access for persons with disabilities at info@beatthebomb.com

Photosensitive seizure warning: Please consult your doctor

A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these “photosensitive epileptic seizures” while playing a game such as Beat The Bomb.

These seizures may have a variety of symptoms, including lightheadedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness. Seizures may also cause loss of consciousness or convulsions that can lead to injury from falling down or striking nearby objects.

Immediately stop playing Beat The Bomb and consult a doctor if you experience any of these symptoms. Parents should watch for or ask their children about the above symptoms. Children and teenagers are more likely than adults to experience these seizures.

The risk of photosensitive epileptic seizures may be reduced by avoiding playing Beat The Bomb while you are drowsy or fatigued. Moreover, if you or any of your relatives have a history of seizures or epilepsy, consult a doctor before playing.

Pregnancy warning: If I’m pregnant, can I play BEAT THE BOMB?

This is entirely your discretion. We encourage you to play, and then sit out any games or elements of games you don’t feel comfortable doing, but please consult your doctor to discuss any concerns prior to playing Beat The Bomb.

Here is information you will want to know:

  1. The ground in places can be wet, and while we have non-slip floors, we would recommend being extra careful. The bomb room is elevated 1″ and is often dripping with paint from a recent blast! Additionally, our rooms are dark. Tripping or slipping are not likely, but you’ll need to be extra careful!

  2. The laser room is quite active, and encourages you to move quickly, crawl, and bend your way back and forth across a laser maze in a 10′ x 20′ room. However, you can decide which laser patterns you want to attempt, as well as play the “coach” on the sidelines if you’d like to sit this one out (if so, start practicing your “watch that Laser!”)

  3. The Bomb itself may give you pause. It feels like a wave of paint, or giant paint-filled water balloons hitting you, but it does not hurt. It is NOT paintball. We’d be happy to show you a demonstration before you begin. And if you want to sit it out, we’d be happy to have you as our guest in the Control Room, sitting with our Bomb Tech to watch your Team play the final game!

    a. Due to COVID-19 we are temporarily unable to have guests in our Control Room, but we will be happy to direct you to our lobby where you can watch your Team’s live stream on the big screen!
